How to make 16v faster than 182

My mates getting a new 182 soon and is up for a bit of a challenge in about a month or so once its loosened up. Thing is, i wanna give him a bit of pasting to show that oldskool rules sooooo....

what would i need to do to my valver to acheive this?

Its already got chip, cams, de-cat so should be nearly even but i need a little more "go". Would stripping the thing be enough as i dont have that much money atm? Might be able to scrap together a couple hundred.....

Mate go 2.0, strip it a tad and get some minor mods and youll be killing 182s quicker than you can say cup killer.

as said if u havent already done it, a 2.0l might be the first step, then cams/headwork etc on that

Williams/F7R 2.0 lump will get you into the ballpark.

To make it actually quicker, youd need some tuning done.

Your probably quite far off a 182 as it is and youll need some pretty decent tuning done.

have you got head work as well as your cams and chip. If not get head work and a 2.0 bottom end.

A 2.0 with cams, head work, chip, de-cat and decent filter (not IK) and stripped you shouldnt have too much trouble with a 182, youll not match the bhp, but i think youll be quicker.
