How to remove CV Grease From Your Wheels

Just thought I'd share my findings tonight.

Ever since my CV boot spat it's grease all over the inside of my wheel, I've been left with the green haze of grease all over it. No amount of scrubbing/wheel cleaner will remove the b*****d stuff. Till I decided tonight, to try autoglym intensive tar remover, it's sh*t at removing tar, but absolutely fantastic at getting the grease off. Literally stick it on some paper towel and the crap rubs straight off.

I'm awsome.

AG engine & machine cleaner is good for this as well.

i used some engine cleaner, left it to soak for a while and then just jet hosed it off, worked a treat, didnt even need to scrub!

theres stuff called wonder wheels, works a treat

brake cleaner. not aerosol though, that's a MASSIVE waste of cash. Buy 5 litres and a squirty bottle and it's superb for cleaning anything greasy

I hear urine is also good aswell.. maybe try that next time Dave?
