i know its not a clio but......

we had a passat recovered into work on friday, it had snapped its cambelt. well after looking at it we have found it needs all new valves, plus rockers, plus stem seals, and of course head gasket blah blah etc stc

well the parts have added upto £1200 without labour and the ironic thing is..................

he was on his way into us as he was booked in to have his cambelt changed!

now thats bad luck

yeah it was overdue,VW owners seem to be like that,we had a MK4 Golf in earlier in the year, guy spent 1500 quid with us, had headgasket + loads of other stuff, he refused to have the cambelt done even though it was overdue as he said he couldnt afford it, 3 days later it was back with us, as the belt snapped at 100 mph on the motorway! another £1200 later it was fixed lol

its a new passat, the front doesnt need to come off any more ,though it is funny just undoing the front of the older ones and simply pulling them off lol
