HP stage 2 conversion

  1995 Mondeo Speed Machine

Can someone tell me what the Hill Power stage two conversion consists of. Ive been looking on Auto Trader at some valvers and theres one for sale (suprisingly cheap) with a 2ltr Stage 2 conversion. Is it basically just fitting a 2ltr bottom end from a Williams/Megane or is there more to it.

Cheers

Rick

Isnt that HP Stage2 for sale on this forum?

(Thats a rhetorical question, cus it is.. haha)

Ben, I had a look on their site but it just says "contains all the necessary parts to make 160bhp". Not sure whether that includes the bottom end...

Just the stage 2 kit doesnt but the 2l conversion does (believe it or not)

The one for sale is the 2l i think!

  Was a Clio 1.8 16v

Not exactly well detailed but if the stage 2 work was done to a 2lt engine then itll be rapid like Adis.

From Hill Power site:

Stage 2 Kit.
S216VCL
This kit contains all of the parts necessary for an engine to produce approx 160-165 bhp giving better acceleration due to the gains in mid range torque.

2.0litre engine conversions.
This is where the power starts to get really serious. The 2.0l engine has far greater torque at lower revs than the 1764cc engine giving the engine much better pulling power from lower in the rev range (no waiting for 4500revs with these motors. Specifications available on request, from our STD engine conversion to throttle body inlet systems and beyond

Thanks people. I only really asked out of curiosity because I knew that the stage 1 kit is basically filter/exhaust/chip, so I thought it was a bit of a step up to just chuck in 2 litre for stage 2......

Either way, Ive got off load my RT before I can seriously think about getting a 16v so Ill just have to wait.

Thanks again
