I get this too :(

They seem to have built a base/nest on the corner of the house, right where I park. So not only do they s**t all over my car, they kick the mud etc all over it from above :(

Shotgun time!

They used to come every year to our house and nest where the roof overhangs the house.

We knocked the nests down about 5 years ago and they have never come back!

This is exactly why I never understand why people spend hours of their weekend "detailing", when it only takes a short drive, some rain, or a flight of birds with loose bowels to put you straight back to square 1.

Of course, unles you've got a garage, and never drive anywhere, then fair enough!

It was literally all over the car this time. Im sure they target my car though. Whenever my dads shed is down the drive, it doesnt get targeted. They must like s**tting in a nice place

Need another gun over there? Now we're out of season I'm short on shooting :)

You're welcome to come down and take them all out.

Because they enjoy it ;)

Plus, generally a car is the second most expensive thing people own (after a house), so why not look after it?

The opinion of someone who has never owned a car that has been properly detailed.

The opinion of someone who has never wasted a whole day cdleaning his car, maybe because there's more to life.

I just dont get it. I really just dont.

If it's clean, it's clean. It wont be for long anyway, it'll be covered in road grime within 3 miles anyway, so what you gonna do then? clan it again? More to life, there must be

I'd love to see your grey Clio.

After doing it right once it'll be much easier to clean the next time, that bird s**t will probably PW off while you'll be standing there with a scouring pad making your Clio a nice shade of grey.

Very true that it gets dirty again. But it's so, so much easier to clean when treated correctly! Beads nicely so it doesn't have one hundred and one water streaks all over it every time it rains. Not to mention it stands out in car parks like a sore thumb as it looks like the only car that hasn't been sanded down using the moon. Jet washing sealed wheels gets rid of 99% of the dirt. Where as untreated you have to no less than scrub like hell. Plus actually having clean windows makes the car feel about 10 times it's value.

There's threads posted every day of details etc in Media/Detailing section, I for one look at them and think "Bloody hell that looks brand new! Wish my car was up to scratch". Hopefully it'll be somewhere near once I crack out the DA this year.

It wasn't implying anything mate, have you had a previous experience?

I know pictures of my car don't show up the imperfections.

Nothing wrong with protecting it.

Even Roy saw the light recently. If you're not a big fan of washing your car, a little more effort once every few months will actually make your life easier.

I would wash the car, put it straight into the garage, next morning take it out to go to work at 7:30 am, by the time i had got out of the car, shut the garage doors , the 2 wood pidgeons who had been sha**ing on the neighbours roof would have left me a present on the car! Bas**rds.

clean the Sh*t off asap coz it takes the lacquer off the car. i see it every day at my work. just get a car cover or do what i did and cut the tree branch down :)

Clio lacquer etches easily, so remove asap. Cloth, hot water and leave it on there. Don't scrub!!! It will soften and wipe straight off. vinegar also works. As soon as you see it remove it ;)

Goes without saying Bruce! It was cleaned off straight away. You'd have to be pretty stupid to leave that amount on for a long period.

Car cover = Swirl marks?!!
