Inlet removal . Need Quick answer

  Lotus Elise
When removing the lower inlet manifold to replace with the matched item do u need to remove the aux belt?

I have managed to get the lower inlet loose but cant get it out. The only way i can see to do it is to remove the support that holds the aux belt tensioner and the alternator.

Cheers Sam

slacken the bolt at the top of the tensioner spring a couple of turns, that will let the bracket move forward enough to give you a little room.

However, the best way to do it is to remove everything and get a really good view to make sure the ports are properly lined up. Pretty pointless mod unless they're fitted properly

Yeah typical bloody renault everything is a pain in the arse.

Ive got two set so going to have a go at my self but I have access to a CNC Milling machine so going to be as accurate as possible.

Good effort, you referencing the 197/200 head porting too or just a matchup on the inlet/plenum?

Be interested to see how they work out dude.
