Inner Tie rod how does it lock? - Urgent please :)

Hi guys,

Recently changed the inner tie rod on my clio (MK2 PH1 non sport) now all was well until after about 3 months I heard a knocking on further investigation the inner tie rod came loose (finger tight O.O) at the steering rack? Now we've wrenched it back up with some grips, a week later the knocking is back and the culprit once again is the inner tie rod. Now tightened up again but with Green locktite on the thread this time left it for 4 hours to sit and set before use. Boom all is well until a week later... Its back -.-' I took it to a garage for tracking as my car is pulling like a b**ch to the right (the side with the loose tie rod) and he said he cant tighten it up because the steering rack is knackered? Could this be the case? Or does it have to be SERIOUSLY swung on to tighten up because we cant really get in to get a good swing on the damn thing.

It tightens up until it turns no further but then a week later loosens itself off again it's driving me bonkers because I know its not safe and this is my only car and gets me to work 50 miles every day so obviously cant have it not safe :)

Thanks guys

replies welcome

  Dodgy one
I used blue locktite, the main thing is making sure everything is clean, dry and has no grease on it. Doesnt need to be swung on either, i used the tool for the job and just nipped it on a 1/2" ratchet

Workshop manual says to use a locking compound and they have it on from new
