insurance bulls**t



  Mk2 Ph1 Grande 1.2
got myself 1.2 grande clio utha day, came with wheel trims :(. so im gunna put sum wheels on it jus cz i hate trims basically. got my quote fully comp 1700, so i thought i would try it with a modifacation of alloys n it went to 3300 fully comp:eek:. if i put standard alloys on it wud i stil get away with that. first car soo:)

Dont need fully comp on that car imo, wouldn't be worth claiming with the inevitable high excess.

Its the way it often is fully comp drivers often are deemed as better ie lower isk as they are insuring there car so will look after it the figures do back it up hence the lower prmiums

if the car was made with steel wheels then alloys even options are deemed as mods realy

its a tricky one, so insurance companies say yes, some say no, either ring and ask them, or take the risk, or just avoid crashing and ull be ok!

Contact you local renault eaer and ask nicly if they can fin your spec they can on th system find what your car was bought with

I reckon insurance company wont care or realise aslong as you fit something that could of come with the car.

I have a Y reg 1.2 Clio Grande RN and i have the 15" OZ F1 alloys of ph1 172 clios, previous owner bought it when it was a year old and it had these on it aparently
