Ph1 172 and Red 197
Thought I would make a new thread as my other one got high jacked by the "it’s another none insured engine conversion" police.
Maybe useful for other who have similar work done.
1. Any modification done to a care, engine wise or cosmetic must be declared or you run the risk of having your insurance declined.
2. If you change the drive train or any major structural changes the DVLA have a points system to decide if you need to reclassify your car or not.
(If you use all same manufacturer parts you should be fine i.e. 1.2 corsa with 2lt red top.)But sticking a corvette 5lt or something will need re classification.
3. Tax and Insurance: Tax remains the same as the old car but you do have to inform the DVLA of the change in displacement and weight.
Insurance is cheaper on moded cars with specialists FACT!
feal free to correct me if im wrong.
