lol no m8 the 1.6 sport is a group 10 insurance car! Plus im insured with Liverpool Victoria who Im sure are no longer doing me any favours as my policy was originally on a fiesta 1.6 with them and i didnt wanna swap my insurance over so that I could carry on with my no claims for the policy.

Thats set to finish shortly and I will be able to hopefully change insurance companies to one that favours me and a 172 lol

aah, explains things a bit better then lad! lol
you should be okay then really to insure a 172, most companies should insure you pretty reasonably, but post code is the main factor, nowt else. Im paying £722 on mine with 5yr NCD @23 with protection and breakdown included in that etc, so yours will prolly be around a grand id imagine. Tesco, Churchill and Directline online quotes are the best place to start.
