Im 20 years old, paying £1200 Fuly comp with flux on a Nissan 350z. - thats a good deal.

People are paying £2k a year for a 2L Clio worth £4-8k and mines a 3.5L worth £17k.

Clio's make no sense insurance wise...

Waity pays £700 on his tvr but want £1200 of him for a vee.

I'll add to this - 24 with 2yrs NCB - Central Manchester (so hardly anyone will touch me) - Went with Brentachre (Highway) and got insured for £1200 Fully Comp - I can have any aesthetic mods (lowered, alloys, seats you name it!) as long as i don't play with the engine.. not sure how much it goes up then.

Rang Brentachre last wk about putting some Recaros in and they said they'd had someone ring up who wanted to gold plate their engine bay!.. didn't cost him any extra as its classed as an aesthetic mod! CRAZY!!

You guys are only any good if your over 22 though IIRC. For FC cover any way. Insuring a 5k car TPFT isn't ideal, no matter how cheap

not necessarily true, we start offering fully comp polocies at age 21 and over and insure many, many 19-22 years olds.

Could you manage FC if you turn 21 during the policy? Only I'm up for renewal in April. Il give you a ring anyways as you never know!

Unfortunately we could only do this if you are within a few days of your 21st.

F*cksake, I'd be paying near £1000 for this PoS DCi if I'd had it since the start of my policy.

£658 for my 1.2. Got my DCi at the beginning of Jan which added an extra £80, and just went fully comp last night which cost an extra £40 for the rest of my policy, with an excess of £400.

It ends in June, can't wait to go somewhere else.

I have also just had another quote that doesnt really link back to the clio 182/172 quotes.

Just went with Brentacre. They beat pretty much everyone by £900 + for me. £1600 was the final sum.

Im 20, 3 years NCB with one no fault claim.

Can add any mods for free providing the car stays under 190bhp.

I'm 22 and have direct line named driver NCB for 4 years and insurance on a 1*2 is £700 at my folks (where I live now). I am planning to move out soon and it will go upto about £1250 for central Manchester!

Cars cost too much, I wish I didn't like them and was happy riding a push bike everywhere!

If you saw the claims/loss ratio for car insurance in Manchester, you would see why insurers charge so much.

If you park your car in a garage and you live in a good area then that brings your insurance down far more than having 5yrs + no claims and lots of years experience.

1 year no claim, half way into my second year( on my dads insurance since i was 18)
pay £1300
im sick of it, i bike to work to save starting the car every day for a 5 min journey)
dont go driving about on a nite, just use it for going places, gf's, shops ect
tried flux and they couldnt even match it
havnt tried the others on here yet, partly because i feel ther will be no point in trying as i have so many times with loads of companys

then you get w**kers in 1k cars driving like loonatics around the streets! Thanks

edit, think my area is D even though the part i live in is a nice area and to steal my car you would have to move my mams of the drive first
area things a load of s**t, i can live next to 500k house then few miles away a area with 50k houses....

im 23 4 years no claims 7 points can drive any car 3rd party and girl friend is 21 on the policy 800 quid fullycomp adrian flux

I've been with Brentacre for last year. Needed to put be_p on my policy for him to borrow the car, they refused because he was under 25.

I am returning to A Plan shortly, A+ customer service ( I was with them for 3years previously), protected no claims for no extra money and no silly charges that I have had with Brentacre, 25 to change to my private plate, 85 to add the mrs etc.

in that case do they still do pay as you go insurence? you only pay for the milage my brother used to have it and his was like £200 base price then so much per mile
