insurance valued my 2month old clio

car cost on paper just over 12grand. but works out just over 13 with payments

had it for 2 and a bit months and crashed and insurance have offered me 8grand

not happy at all

Did they try and sell you GAP insurance when you bought the car?

got sold the gap insurance but its fucked up
you can only get it as the 1st owner which really i am but because i was 17 when i bought the car i couldnt get finance. so my mum put her name on the finance so she was the 1st registered owner. but got change of ownership done the day i got the car.

so even though i paid the 299 for the gap insurance ontop of £2100 for my insurance its all fucked up

told the insurance it was a unrealistic figure and to give me a realistic figure or i was going to court (well my mum partner who is a solicitor did)

always refuse the first offer there always shite . . . . by the time you get to there third offer there at the most there willing to give

Have a look at the T+C's again, my dads is transferrable to any future owners. Sounds right mess, hope you get it sorted

getting a brand new identical car though insurance. the gap insurance was a waste of money then. wonder if i can bargain some freebies of up a spec instead beaucse the gap insurance wasnt needed
