I contacted greenlight as a few of you suggested on here and was delighted to recieve a reply, however shortly followed by this comment I wasnt as pleased.....

Driver error and loss of control means to many inexperienced F**ks cant drive properly ! As usual a few people tarnish everyone else and our premiums etc go up.

None of their underwriters will insure Cups because of too many claims. Not really Greenlight's fault I suppose.

Both our main underwirter were hit bad by claims on the 172 Cup. Its strange because the other Cliosport models (172, 182 and 182 cup) are one of the lowest claiming hot hatches we have ever covered.

We are currently looking for another underwirter that will enable us to quote the 172 Cup model competetivley once again.

I have posted on here numerous times explaining that we cannot insure 172 Cups at present.

Thanks Neil. Not having a go, just annoyed that is no way to prove your a safe driver these days. Even NCB's is not a true indication of how safe someone could drive because you could have a cheap car sitting in your garage building up your NCB. Insurers should be more caring towards safe drivers and completly condemm those who ruin it for others.
