Hello! Im looking at buying some menzerna(SP i forgot!) final finish polish. Am i right in thinking that you would first use the intensive polish on a cutting pad, to remove swirls, then use final finish on a buffing pad to bring it up? What other products would i need to buy for that ddeep glossy finish (my car is black!) thanks, luke

Depending on the severity of swirls you may not even need to use a light cut pad with the Intensive Polish it may clear them up with a polishing pad.

There is also two types of Final Finish Menzerna Final Finish (PO 106 FA) and Menzerna Final Finish (PO 85RD)

To get the bets out of your paint you will need to follow the Intensive Polish with Final Finish - I do this with Menzerna Final Finish (PO 85RD)

I also have a bottle of the Final Finish Menzerna Final Finish (PO 106 FA) in the collection to which I use as a first port of call, it leaves the same gloss as the (PO 85RD) but has the power to correct swirls standalone reducing on light marring the need to do a two step process with IP and PO 85RD.

A 250 ml bottle of all three and you are pretty much sorted for swirl removal by DA, there are some more abrasive compounds but none are that well suited to PC type machine use.

Remember always use the mildest products first try the final finish first, then step up to the IP on a polishing pad, then on a cutting pad only if you need too.

IP and FF should give you awesome looking paint.

Thanks Rich for all your help! Finally got my head round it... that sonus SFX crap confused the s**t out of me! so that combination is goood for removing swirls, for a quick polish will it be ok to use autoglym and egp on top of this? FINALLY (sorry again:eek:) how do you know if you need new polishing pads? and is there a specific way to clean them or do you justs buy new?

SRP by machine will clean up paint nicely when you don't want to do much correction.

Final Finish can be used to do a light clean up and restore gloss.

Crack out the Intensive Polish for full on correction (Once year max IMO)

Pads should last you years, clean after use with warm water and fairy liquid.

how do you dry them? ring them out orrr? because loads of soap will get in the pads wont it?

Rinse them really well with clean water till there is no more soap in them, wring them out the best you can and them allow to air dry :)
