Interesting Insurance...

Ok so im going to change the car some time soon... Lotus Elise was the plan but just been getting insurance quotes on things....

Current 172 insurance: £849
Lotus Elise S1: £1580
Clio V6 Ph1: £1410
Clio 182 2005: £705

all with £250 excess!

so, Lotus is out of the window, as is the V6 (ive never paid more than 1k insurance, and never will do)

what i was suprised about, is that insurance on a 182 is £150 cheaper than on my Ph1 172!

now... Artic, Racing, or Titanium...?

Have you considered a vx220 as an alternative to the elise? I've been quoted 1k for a ph1 172 and about 1800 for a vx so would imagine your quotes for a vx might be near the 1k than the elise

as said try the VX..... but you may need to try with a specialist insurer.........

Im paying the same amount as I was on the 182 and less thanthe meggy 225.
