In what sense?

I assume you mean not being able to use it on a non-wifi connection? On a Jailbroken phone you can use a tool to trick it into thinking you're on a Wifi network. I can understand the telco's placing restrictions on it though, unlimited data plans and Skype = problem for O2.

Citrix Receiver for iPhone is absolutely superb, though it's fairly limited in it's use in current trim - soon as they add CSG/RSA support it'll be awesome.

The main problem with Skype on the iPhone is that for now you must be using the app to receive a call. A background app would obviously be better.

Which is also possible via Jailbreak, an app called Backgrounder.

3.0 will hopefully bring push notification, but from what I've read it's all routed via Apple before it gets there, not sure how well that's going to work for things like Skype.

Backgrounder wont work with Skype, the mobile substrate had to be modded to run skype. It essentially operates as a non JB phone when skype is running.

I'd rather apple built VOIP support into the phone app like S60 does, but they wont.

Nope, it works.

There's an updated substrate on by 'saurik', which along with backgrounder and VoipOver3g works just fine.

Hi Ben,

It's a place where you store all your notes, pictures, anything really

For instance, you walk into a TV shop and you take a picture of a pioneer TV for later research, you get home but can't remember what model it was, just type in "pioneer" and it can read the text from your picture and will find all the products that have that text.

It's a lot more complicated than that, there is so much it can offer.

It also synchronises everything and therefore everything is backed up which is used with evernote.

I think it is definitely worthwhile if you use it to the full extent.

Tried it out earlier, not bad at all but 3.0 improves on the basic iPhone mail app by adding full search facilities. I prefer the Mail app to the browser.
