iPhone 4 screen replacement

Does anyone know what apple charge for a replacement screen on a iPhone 4?

The screen it's self isn't smashed but looks tatty and has a tiny chip in the front. I was going to sell it on and buy a 4s but things have changed and I am wanting to keep my 4 for a while longer.

Can I book a genius appointment and go to get a replacement screen fitted ?

I thought the ones they swapped for were reconditioned ?

Reconditioned yes, but you'd struggle to ever tell. Give it a good going over before you leave the store, if you spot any defects, ask for another.

Make sure you do a proper backup (not just sync) before taking the phone into store.

I went to the apple store with a cracked front glass on my iPhone 4, it was out of warranty, they replaced after they got me to say it was a screen defect, rather than me being honest ad saying i dropped it

I went to the apple shop before with a battery problem. They wouldn't replace the handset then, the apple store in meadowhall is pretty strict on warrantee / gurantee.
