iPhone 4S Headphone Jack Broken

Hi, My iPhone 4S has an isssue with the headphone jack. Its definately the phone as I've tried 4 sets of head phones. Basically, they dont "click" in place any more, and easily fall out.

My questions are:

1)Is this a common issue for which there is a simple fix?

2)I belive I've had the phone less than a year, I do not recall doing anything to break it (not to say I haven't unintentionally) whats the best way to get this fixed? Im guessing Genuis Bar wont want to know?

In theory, Revels is right, however in some cases, it may be something as simple as something stuck in the jack...
