Iphone + Jb + Insurance claim = Avoid/pass ?

Got a iphone 3gs and when i pulled the contract out i got 6months free insurance,

On friday my phone was on the tool box and my hand were coverd in oil/grease and the hammer slipped from my hand and cracked the screen , i couldnt see any cracks atall untill yesturday were i noticed its about 5cm long,

phone is JB but i cant get it back to the restore point because my laptop went kaput and had to get factory reset recently,

Will they replace the iphone how it is? or do i need to factory settings, then put everything back so it looks used,

Can you update it to 3.1.3? Thatll remove the jailbreak.

You don't need a restore point.

Plug it in. Back it up. Restore it.

Ahh, so when i back it up it will save the JB settings etc, meaning when i do get my iphone back either replaced/fix it will be that simple to get it back to normal :s

No.

You'll need to jailbreak it again, which isn't currently possible on the 3.1.3 software.
