Is it worth breaking a 172?

  porsche 944 - 80's ftw!
Ive noticed a 02 silver ff 172 at an auction soon with lightish damage to the drivers corner. Needs a new front wing, headlight and front bumper. The rest of the car looks in good condition and totally standard.

Are these worth breaking? I understand that i could probably get around 250 - 300 for the alloys and perhaps 500 - 600 for the engine/box but is there anything else thats sought after?

Im just considering the worst case scenario before i consider buying it, if it turns out like i expect looking at the damage (not much really) i may consider selling it complete or putting it back on the road first (saying that ive got a friend whos interested in it for himself).

  Golf GTI PP Mk7
the interior is worth 400-500 depending on condition. steering wheel is £60 or so. The sideskirts cud go for £50 or so. Rear bumper is worth over £100. Spolier is £60 on its own really.

all in all theres a grand straight away just on bits, up to you tho mate.

LOL yes it is the one at universal! Just dont know the mileage though.

It doesnt matter what the price is now i know from experience it will have jumped right up by the time the auction starts.

Im still not sure if i have to go to nuneaton and corby tommorow yet so might not be able to make it.

As far as getting it repaired i have someone who would do it for me (they colour coded me old range rover and did a brilliant job).

Looking at it again it seems funny why its classed as cat C , could be because of a few things , high mileage , damage underneath you cant see in the pics or whatevers hit it has caught the pulley for the aux belt and fooked the head. Wont know till/if i go and see it tommorow.
