Isit normal to want a 182 ff/cup instead of my 172 cup?

  No car
As in the title, what do you guys prefer? Over the past two weeks I've really thought about swapping my 172 cup for a 182 ff or 182 cup.....

If you swap a 172Cup for a 182Cup then while you're sleeping you get kidnapped and you're never ever seen again.

What do you think happened to Amelia Earhart?

It is, my 182 lasted 6 months, owned the 172 for about 3 years!

Anyone care to explain why the 182 cup is so s**t? I've seen this being said a few times but i dont know why.

Serious question...

Liam.

P.S... no point swapping. only real difference is the 2 exhausts :)

It isnt!

I'd have one, only real issue i have is colour, RB is a bit ghey for a bloke imo, and Inferno is brown 99% of the time in UK. Other than that cracking motor!

nothing "wrong" exactly, just not.....right. They're still decent enough. I'd personally have a full fat 182 over anything else by choice

+1, unless your going to use it for the track all the time or only as a sunday car, the 182Cup is not worth it compared to the FF IMO. The FF has all the extra's + the cup bits that matter (mainly being the sus pack).

Yeah the trophy, fair enough. I do like the 182 ff. the nice lil extras etc but I prefer my 172 cup. Just wanted some opinions :approve: why is everyone against the 182's may I ask?

I'm going to sound like a total Renaultsport newbie, but when people refer to the 182 FF, do they mean full fat or is it another version that I have never heard of?!

Because the 172 cup is hardcore and lightweight

The 182 cup isnt

172 Cup is a great track car, I would (and have got) a 182 FF for the extra's. I don't track it so the weight wasn't an issue I just wanted the nicer car. Climate control, better interior, and the cup packs!

172 cups aren't wider than 182's o_O
EDIT: And no @ 172 Cup > 182 Trophy

It's 182 Trophy > All other variants of Clio including Vee's IMO.

172 cup is lighter, wider, stripped of all the pointless toys you dont need

Did they not do this to the 182 Cup as well then? Genuine question as i had the 172 cup and was toying with getting a 182 Cup.

I assume the 182 cup doesn't have AC, has thinner spec glass, cloth seats. Does it have a wide track, different offset wheels like the 172 Cup??

182 cup, cynical marketing BS at it's best. That said a 172 cup isn't a hardcore track car either as much as some of the owners might think it is. Although at least it's sufficiently different to the FF 172 to make it worth considering dealing with the POV spec seats.
