It's back, it's BAD...

Well, not really BAD, but meaner (louder) and leaner than it was before.

Big thanks to Mike and Dave at Rentech Towers for sorting the wiring problem this weekend - and while it was in, I had the rest of the trim/carpet removed.

Including my rubber car mats (which weighed 3kgs) the carpet, underlay/insulation and two pieces of plastic edging trim, all weighed in at...12.4kgs!!!

You could always take the blue interior strips out from the dash, & sell them ;)

Oh and the Gearknob insert!

Id leave door cards in matey. I took the door cards out of mine and its a pain in the ass. Its handy for house keys, mobile phone, not to mention the electric windows, mirrors and grab handle!!

you may aswell remove the 2 pieces of sound deadening stuff on either side in the back it really does nothing as youve stripped out the rest

Coilovers? It must be sat pretty high now!

It's a tractor LOL - coilovers all in due course. Want to run it like this for a while and see what else I can gain from weight removal - seats next.

Thought about loosing some weight yourself?

Must be some body parts you can do without!

Haircut tonight - long overdue, I can really notice how it blunts the acceleration and pick-up.

How much did Mike charge to loose the tar sound-deadening?

Frankly, life is to short.

He didn't take any off Jon - should there have been some in the footwells? Or is it a cup thing?

They weigh nothing anyway. Without them, the outer skin of the rear quarter panels is exposed internally and if I had anything in the back moving about it wouldn't take much to dent the panel from the inside.

  172 Cup SOLD
Well played Mark, that's exactly how mine is as well, nothing in there except the front doorcards!!!

It's not worth 6k, it's worth about 4k - if that.

Why do it? Why not?

I've had it since new, and it's covered over 93,000 miles. Time for it to retire from the daily grind to a life of continual track/sprint abuse, and ultimately...it's going racing

Excellent!

Mine's due an update - I had almost half an interior in here + an empty babyseat when I did this one...

I'll stick the Yokos on, get them warm and give it a bash ;)

Its a date then.

Yours accelerates so quickly up to 60 but mine is quicker over 80. PM me tommorrow and I will send you a link to my video.

Stripped 172cup vs cammed 182FF thread should be interesting.

I remember seeing yours ages ago.

Wasn't it flamed as everyone said it 'wasnt that fast' lol.
