check out the beast. just need a sport badge, some williams stickers, and a 2.0 rubstrip badge to make it look cool :clown:

been giving it a right good clean for the past two days as it was in a bit of a state, has scrubbed up alright!

rust round rear arches, bit on the outer sills, and a bit round one of the rear windows but apart from that its not too shabby.

cost me £460 with MOT till july next year.

anyone able to tell me what the hell this is on the right?

130k, cambelt changed at 105. got receipts for wheel bearings, discs, pads, shocks, springs, water pump, alternator belt, injector governor?, tyres, etc and like mots fromt he last 5 years

i understand these engines are pretty damn reliable

its just for winter use/commuting to keep the VX safe from idiots who cant drive in the snow.

Mine is the R reg biarritz it has central locking. It locks the doors and opens the doors.

Also it will have an imobiliser. Does your key have a click button in the centre? Press that and you will notice the doors open and unlock It also switches off the imobiliser

dont forget to aim it at the sunvisor also

I used to have a P reg 1.2, all that light does is activate the electronic immobiliser on the ignition (all clio keys after p reg, have built in coded keys for the imobiliser iirc. Thats what it is. I think renault just made it out of a rocker switch and removed all the guts out of it tbh. Hence the reason why it "rocks"

just asked the service dept, the clio immob is unclassified up until 1998, then it uses a cat2 for the clio range.

its actually quite 'nippy' really

dunno what bhp the 1.9d has but it has plenty of low down torque to get the thing moving!

prob about 55ish bhp?

old mate of mines maw had one, from new! she sold it only a year or so ago and it was in pretty guid nick and she got over 60mpg out of it. a wise investment!
