Just done a LED conversion on my dash

I got bored of the plain orange lights on my dash clocks so I thought I'd give it a freshening up. I decided to go for white numbers, red needle and blue LCD screen. Took a pic of the screen but will take another later when its dark.
Wasnt really a hard job, its more fiddly than anything but once you do one or two LED's then the rest is simple.

Thanks, cant wait until its dark to try it out. I like the dials I had in my R26 so thats why I went for white dials. was going to do blue but that would mean the needs would be blue and would look to much.

No didnt take long. took me about hour and half to take my dash off, new leds swapped and put all back together. Only cost me £4 for the leds, one of the cheapest mods to do.

Next mod is change the leds on air con unit, cd player and all other buttons. Havent got a clue how to remove the climate control

i would of put white leds behing the lcd display as it shows up blue but with white numbers

Bloody right.

I have some Rainbow LEDS that Im going to experiment with soon.. I keep saying that for about a year now! They automatically change colours constantly. Will only use them in the clock part though as I reckon it will be a bit too much in the dash!

The clock is going to tough, seen some people has put blue leds in and sand the orange filter off but you end up seeing two bright leds through the screen

Just had a look at that guide is there another one for taking a phase 1 dash off i cant find one. Also had a look on Rapid electronics for LEDS but couldnt find any think im being a bit stupid can some one help.

This place seems a bit better.. LED's are 6p more expensive but you get free delivery
