Just fitted RS Grille...

Did it without removing the bumper, but I couldnt fit the new grille with what my haynes manual calls, "the air ducting", attached which originaly is fitted to the left hand side of the grille. As far as I can tell, all it dose is direct air at the radiator. Still, is it particularly important?

Oh, and I advise no-one to attempt to do change grilles with the bumper on. Its so bloody awkward, probably faster just to remove bumper.

I did mine with the bumper on, wasn't too bad.

I have small-ish hands so just unclipped the clips from the right to left. It was a t**t to undo the air ducting so I just left it on and gave it a bit of welly. Getting on the new grille was far more awkward. Had to have three stabs at it to get it on.

I'd put that defector on as its the rain cover for the alternator, if you leave it off rain can go striaght through the grill and soak the alternator. Not brilliant.

Its too small to fit on the RS grill but you can fit it if you clip it in at the bottom and use cable ties to hold it on at the top.

Ok, refitted the shield. I wouldnt say changing the grille was easy, unless I was missing something that would of made life easier.
