well i picked it up tonight from another member "ivegota16v" great bloke made the purchase very easy, am so excited, iwas well nervous driving the 20 miles home to, didt really exceed 40.

first impressions - the steering is alot heavier than the rt but even when not using it you can feel the powers there,

i will post a couple of pics soon, maybe after i have cleaned it

WAS a Valver - what next?

Picked mine up on Monday:D. Its my 17th car in 13 years! Very pleased with it so far! Good performance with fantastic handling and road holding.

Enjoy!;)

Glad you like it Neil

Good idea going steady then gradually opening it up

Meet soon for some piccies

taking it easy?? how can you resist?! the first drive from when i bought it was spent warming it up then redlining it everywhere! (even though i told myself i would take it easy - talk about lack of will power!)

Even though id gone straight from a 1.2 to it, it wasnt like it was uncontrollable power. The car is brilliant for providing feedback, especially the handling! If you can control yourself tho, well done! youre doing the right thing! Congrats on buying the car - hope it serves you well mate and i look forward to seeing pics :)

i came from a 1.4, and i know what you mean bout the power being comfortable, i picked it up when it was a bit wet and there was salt on the roads so didt want to be silly with a car i didnt know.

i took it out today for a proper drive and after letting it warm up it was quite fun although i think the comfort of the car and build quality (better than my rt) make it feel less quick then i thought (although i have only had the car 2 days)

i find the hardest thing to be, to not give it stick before its warmed up...

also how much do people let it warm up, i was told that its ok when it gets to the 1/4 line on the oil temp, is that right?

  Skoda Fabia vRS

well see how far the oil temp usually gets mate from general drivin about, ideally dont rag it until it gets to that

i let mine warm upto around 80, it generally doesnt go higher than that with normal driving. Mine goes upto about 105-110 max if i hit a few country roads :D
