As the title! Pick it up tuesday. Had a brief test drive, but was pouring with rain so never had a hard drive? How will it compare with the missus Mini Cooper S? Can't wait till tuesday!

Good to no! Comin from a modified Lexus IS200 so should feel rapid! Bit wary switching from RWD to FWD but drive the Mini fairly regularly. Lookin forward to driving something that gets my pulse racing. When went on test drive i new straight away it was for me Sent a shiver down my spine.

Well done mate!! Great cars, I have had 2 now.
The best clio made!! Most fun to drive around the twisties!!
Also, a lot faster than a 182!!! Get the CAT off as soon as you get it.
Have fun

oh aye! change the induction asap too. Far too restrictive as standard. New brakes, cross drilled disks with green stuff pads, braided hoses work a treat as well. Eibach springs will make a good bit of different, well worth the cash. As I mentioned before, top priority is the get the awfull cat off. Don't worry about any nonsense you hear about warning lights. Mine never came on once! All the best. Bob

welcome .

top choice of car laddo amsure the fellow cupper's will guide you if you need any help .

Got couple of decent quotes for insurance, looking at £650 ish. Anyone recommend a decent insurer? Bit paranoid about car not being listed properly as it is so limited.

So mod wise would go like this?

Cat > Brakes > Induction>

Best route to go?

itll understeer loads less than a cooper s - both good cars but the clio is far less of a posers car and more of a drivers car

Brakes first, brembo hc's (no need for cross drilling on a road car) with ferodo ds2500 pads, braided lines and dot 4 fluid.

If the cars on the standard exhaust they start rotting and falling off after about 30k miles. Id budget £400 for a good aftermarket system before you think about decats mate, although decats are good.

The standard induction is fine, an ik will make sod all difference mate.

Cool :) I'd steer clear of GreenStuff on something as potentially quick as the Cup, I'd have Mintex M1144s or RedStuffs.

50k on a 52. 2 lady owners, completely standard. Really is in excellent condition, no stone chips and no scuffing on alloys or bodywork. Will be taken it steady in the rain and winter. Think i am gonna miss my heated seats!!

  Maybe a 172 Cup..
Missus wont know about panel-filter upgrade chief:evil:

I was gonna go for an induction kit, but after research on here, think I'm gonna go for ITG panel with samco hose and CAF. There's a trophy on here with set-up, and appears to be rated highly.

Enjoy fella..........

Good choice mate. Has it had all the belts changed?

No. Was under the impression they were good till 72,000?

Jus had a quality quote from privilidge. £444 for me and the missus. Thats £340 less than paying on Lexus at moment. Well chuffed.

Right after doing some research on here I now have some issues with the car's history. I was under the impression services were ever 20k. In reality they are 12k or 2 years. This car has has services at 20k, 40k and 50k. This worries me a little should it? No idea if aux belt was changed at 36k either. If I were to buy the car and have cam/aux done would this still be ok despite previous lack of servicing? Also the car was advertised as having full service history which it clearly does not. Would that enable me to get my deposit back?

Gonna ring garage now but want to get my facts 100% straight any advice/help would be much appreciated.
