K&N 57i Gen 2 Induction KIt

Can anyone give me any comments about these for a 172 cup? Power, torque and sound.

My mates got a standard pipercross induction kit on his cup and sounds the b****cks but ive noticed that he has lost gains low down. What do these kits sound like? I hope there as good or better!

Will i benefit from this kit over what he has got. I want the power and the sound.

best thing you ever did getting rid of the viper matey!! i have a gen 2 on mine mate and the sound first of all is mental with my blue flame system 100% it sounds like a scooby!! its pull better throughout the range and at top end have seen a great improvement also i must admit my car does need a remap with group n ecu and a power boost valve fitted would make the whole car move like a b*****d!!!

panel filter.

Hate to be a party - pooper but I'd have to agree with the above.

Lots of induction noise is nice but I hate to think I'm spending money to loose torque/power with an induction kit:(

before i fitted my gen 2 i borrowed my mates itg panel it was an improvement over standard but was not really impressed but for the 40 cost i would say a good buy however the gen 2 made an instant impact i know it is different with each car i suppose but it is highly recommended by myself and if set up correctly with good air flow you will be onto a winner lol

Its all psychological

If it makes more noise you will think its a better performer. In realitly i bet the Viper is better ;)

Personally i cant see the point of a panel filter. It seems largely accepted that any filter / induction kit makes little real difference, so why pay £40-£50 for something thats not going to change the noise, and not really going to add power?

At least with a half decent induction kit, if set up right you shouldnt lose anything, but you will gain a nice engine note.

so why pay even more money for a nice engine note ?? :S

ITG panel filter IMO .... spend money on a decent exhaust if u dont already have one .... that will give u a nice note & actually yield a few bhp .

LMAO.

Why pay money for a better engine note? Is that a serious question?

I already have a decent exhaust thanks. I still want it to sound better. I dont see the problem?

go for it then ... i'm sure it will be chavtastic

So according to you, an exhaust is not chavvy, but an induction kit is?

:S

Whatever mate, go back to your hole. And this coming from someone who appears to have aftermarket alloys. HAHAHA.

Now now. Each to thier own. I have an induction kit and an aftermarket exhaust. I just like noise, so with the two together it sounds great!!
