K&N panel for a 182 couple of questions..

  Fiesta ST3
replaced the standard panel yesterday for a k&n panel cant really tell much diffrence but the k&n only cost me £15 so its about the same price as a renault one.
would you guys have gone for a renault replacement or the k&n?
there is something on the k&n site about disconnecting the battery so the ecu resets its self to compansate for the diffrence in air flow? any one ever done this with there induction kits or after market panels????

thanks again guys

The K&N is a good panel and you won't have to change it like you would have had to do with the OE Renault one.

Not sure about the reset though but I don't think it would make a great deal of difference

I have run the K and N panel for 7 months now,
and allways assumed the ECU would adjust the fuel level
itself by looking at the first sensor in the exhaust pipe,
BTW it does sound better anyway and seems to rev quicker below 4k

I think disconnecting the battery is for induction kits really . I didn't do it when i fitted my k+n apollo and the car packed up after a day , i had to get the AA to tow me home cos he couldn't get it going again and he hadn't a clue what it was . I think it over fueled . After i disconneted the battery and left it 30 mins it was ok and ran fine afterwards . I don't think you will need to disconnect your battery for a panel filter .
