K-Tec Email for those that have not seen it

We are currently looking for someone with a 1.2 16v Clio Mk2 who is
interetested in having a larger replacement engine fitting. As our own car
is not available for us to carry out the work we are prepared to offer 1
person the chance to have a Renault Clio 172 engine supplied and fitted
into their car for £2000+vat. This price will include the coost of the
engine, gearbox, ecu, wiring loom and all the other parts needed to get
the 172 engine into the car and running properly. It would not include the
cost of parts such as a replacement exhaust system but I am sure we could
find one of our second hand systems about if needed.

We would need the car for around 4 weeks to carry out all the work and
test the car. This price represents a saving of around £700-£1000 less
than what we hope the final conversion cost will be.

Like we said we are only after 1 car and this offer will not be repeated
once the first car has been done. If you are interested please either
e-mail us at info@k-tecracing.com or call us on 01202 820800.

Regards.

The K-Tec Raing team.

Whats the point? with the price of 172's its just not worth it.

Have to agree with stu on this one i´ve never seen the point in building a car you can buy, fair enough doing 2 litre conversions on the valvers, but a 172 conversion i just cant see the point

  cock mobile.
Surely the insurance would be more on a conversion car that it would be on a standard 172.

Most insurance companies won't take kindly to engine transplants!!

missing the point ? maybe keeping your car renualt rather than a donner engine from another car group i.e german VAG
some people like hybrids more than tuned up normal cars

flux and greenlight are ok about transplants esp if its from the same type of car

my insurance is cheaper than a 172 as its not a 'desirable' it doesnt look like a 172 and nobody knows it is, its still got drums on the back!

plus no body kit and no big ice i pay £559 a year compared to £750 for a 172 quoted from the same company
