KTEC K5 - CLEAN FIT!NOT! *pic*

right i just phoned up ktec n said the center section isnt meant to have a bracket on it??? is that right? (see pic below).

iv had it fitted today, n the garage had a right hassel n had to get new rubbers n sh*t, n it rattles like fuk coz there is no bracket on the center sectino so its just hanging there!!! i fort this ktec were good????!!

HELP!!! i need sorting b4 SUNDAY -TRAX!!!!

There isnt a bracket on the K-tec and it can be a hassle to get it to fit properly but any decent exhaust fitter can get it right with a bit of patience. Ive got one on mine and it seems to fit fine with no rattles.

im going mr tyres - place in leics which does powerflow to try n sort it 2mos...... right hassel, thought this woz gonna be a peice of pi$$

plus i aint too impressed, its not too much louder than my magnex hopefully its just wearing in

there isnt a centre section bracket on any Clio exhaust system that im aware of, simply because the car does not have a centre section mounting point on it.......

when i had my full system we had to put one in

there is a point half way down u can attatch a new bracket to

u can buy universail ones from hellfords, they do the job

The 16v and WIlliams does have a mount on the car for the centre section, well at least mine does ne way but the K-tec one deosnt come with it. m888arc As for how loud the system is are you running the cat on ur car?? if so that would explain it, decat it and all hell breaks loose, mine is fairly quiet with the cat on but without it its REALLY LOUD.

Bruns right... ive got a devil centre section and that has got a hanger on it, but i dont use it... theres no mount as standard on the car.

All of Ktecs stuff is very good quality!!!

Yeah, its attached to the cat at one end, which hangs on the manifold, the next point its hung is at the rear section where the curved part meets the backbox. thats enough to hang it ok normally, the devil section on mine has a hanger but it doesnt tally up with anywhere sensible on the car to add a hanger....

consider a extra universal hanger like halfords do if our worried like matt said.

i doubt your Magnex was hung anywhere mate, and the other Magnex ive seen didnt have the hanger yours has/had

my devils got a mount, but as i said it isnt hung on bugger all, maybe i could ad a mount but its not ever been a problem to be honest you should be fine with it as it is

sounds like the exhaust place you went to arent much cop to be honest mate, they all need a play around though at first to get the fitment spot on

well its a mates garage n they said it woz a right c**t to fit, had to change bits around to get it fitted on the car, so they wouldnt have pissed about for nuffin, its a family friend who owns the garage.

they said it was attached the magnex.... very weird, i donno. pissing me off tho about the sound.......
BRUN did yours sound loud from the start , or get louder within a couple of days?

the willy has the centre mount, ASAIK......the only ones ive seen with the centre mount.

went to 2 different exhuast people today, n 1 woz a proper good powerflow dealer.. both SAID IT WOZ SH*T!!! they said it didnt even look like it woz for the 16v clio.....and it woz cut n welded all over the place!

NOT VERY HAPPY KTEC CUSTOMER HERE..... will be ringing them on monday for a REFUND! grrrrrr

That makes me laugh, Powerflow saying that another companies exhausts are sh*t...lol, poor welding, didnt powerflow write the book on poor welding.

Mates got that fitted on his valver and it looks ok not rattles or nufin (then again KTEC fitted it )

As a fully qualified specialist welder I can say the Powerflows that I have seen have all been very poor welding! I would rather buy the parts myself and weld them!

Powerflow dealers in my experience havent got a clue, its the equivelent of kwik fit, and of course they are going to sl*g someone elses exhaust off. Ktecs stuff is spot on and basically it sounds like the people you take it to havent got a clue, same problems i had when i did my exhaust, to be honest its best to get it up on ramps and do it yourself cos the kid at the local exhaust place probably has less of a clue than you do.
