KYB Srings on a Cup 172?

  Clio Cup 172
Chaps,
after discovering that the idiot who owned my cup 172 before me had hacked one and a half coils off of the front springs, I decided to replace them! I fitted the KYB replacement springs (RC2286) on Saturday, which according to their catalog are the correct ones. The car now sits stupidly high at the front end with at least three inches of clearance from the bottom edge of the wheel arch to the top of the tyre! Has anyone come across this problem before? Is KYB's catalog wrong and I simply need to swap them for a different part number? Any help would be gratefully received!!

cheers,
Adam

Got any pics?

I remember selling them brand new and they did look quite high back then tbh.

Is the 172 Cup a Mk2 or Mk3 Clio? According to KYB, the springs are for a Mk2 2.0 16V and a 1.4 16V!!!

I'd get some eibach pros or sports. Can't really go wrong with them. Or, I have a set of standard 182 springs if you're interested?

Yeah they both take the same springs. They're not the cup packed springs though, just standard 182 and are in very good condition. Pm me if you're interested.
