Kyle's Ultra Red Clio 197

Decided to upgrade from the Vts after it failed the MOT on the rear beam and a few other things!

Was looking at ibiza cupras and civic ek4s but then decided i wanted something a little newer/more comfortable for day to day driving, i then narrowed it down to clio 197s or a corsa Vxr.
after looking at the relevant forums to see how reliable etc they were i was put off of the vxr along with the fact that you see them everywhere haha.

i then seen an ultra red 197 with recaros that looked stunning in the pics so took the long trip to see it. looked as good in person as it did in the pics!!!!
sounded great on startup and after test driving it and finding out just how good it handles i decided to part with my cash.

so here it is.

so far only things ive done are Piperx Panel filter and black Renault badges.

got a few things planned though.

Looks Good!!! saw a red 200 in a petrol station near me the other day and i have to say, i do like it a lot in red!. What have you got planned?

Main plans just now are to get some eibach 20mm springs on and either get the wheels powdercoated black/anthracite or some anthracite pro race 1.2s

So after seeing a how to guide on how easy it is to fit a Powerflex upper torque mount I ordered myself one up!

Just waiting on some silver paint arriving so I can tidy up the arm while fitting the torque mount bush!
having a dilemma with what to do with the wheels!!

options are:
- paint standards Anthracite or white?
- cup racer wheels kept white ?
- something aftermarket like turinis or pro race 1.2s ?

Nice looking 197 mate, definitely not aftermarket wheels, just a nice refurb.

Managed some time to give her a good clean and polish after neglecting her due to me being unwell haha
Also removed the Clio badge and looks miles better now!!
