remove rear seats 15kg + 5 for luggage bar = 20kg saved
brings kerbweight to 1000kg ( 1ton) every 1 bhp you gain increases its hp-per-ton which is nice.

you could as mentioned get a carbon bonnet ? dunno how much they weigh compared to standard ?

bucket seats usually weigh around 5-8kg depending on what model and how harcore you are, recliners save no weight but are gonna be a damn sight better than the tatty cup seats.

a new lighter exhaust can save upto 8kg

without taking stuff out you wont lose weight on the car imo

i think we're down to around the 900kg mark now

all thats left inside is a steering wheel and a seat

no roof lining, carpet, no door cards, no nothing

if it has no function, we've removed it!

meggerman - what do you mean if you get the weight down to a tonne every bhp you gain increses bhp per tonne ? it doesnt matter what the car weighs when you inc engine power you inc bhp per tonne

carbon bonnets are 4kg lighter - there NOT designed for lightweightnessness, there designed to look "cool"

ali bonnets on the phs quicks are the lightest you can get

you can run JUST a single carbon skin, but its not that strong in all honnesty

Has Yozza's cup still got the dash in?

Got a feeling that it may not be the lightest cup......

Theres a fully stripped, no dash, no air bags, lightweight wheels, lightweight door mirrors, carbon bonnet, same kinda thing (if it serves no purpose its gone) 172 cup that runs 13.3 quarter miles near me.

Maybe thats the lightest cup EVER......

Single carbon skin bonnet is 2kgs. If you want to get really lightweight then you have to think outside the box. FIA fuel cell and specific amount of fuel, drain water bottle etc...

Do the windows work?
What about the UCH remove that an its a few KG saved plus all the associated wiring and run a Mk1 or custom light indicators etc setup.
Does the bot open best idea would be no hinged and welding it shut without locks etc.
Plastic windows that a few more KG saved.
Does it have 2 side mirrors law only need 1.
Stereo?
Single wiper conversion?
Side strips?
Paint? (always wondered how much the paint on a car weighs)

Not trying to say you'r not trying just not seen it for a long time.

as its now in demand for photoshoots we've had to leave it reasonable so it looks tidy

inside has all been painted black and the door pannels are now carbon fibre

normal windows are still in, we haven't had time to do perspex one yet

dash is still in, but only because i can't be bothered to remove it

MOT time soon, place your bets, will it pass emissions!

Fred have you just cut up carbon panels for the doors or are they moulded? I am looking for someone able to do mouldings for these doors:

we have an in house composite specialist, ours are just flat pannels (due to time), but we can have anything made from carbon
