It's big money, but a car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Would I pay £60k for a Clio I couldn't drive? No, but there are plenty of people out there with more money than they could ever spend, so why wouldn't they buy it? I expect that the car is utterly unique, owing to the colour and mileage, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if it sold. You can't really compare it to any other Clio in a way. It's a collector's item so doesn't follow the same rules as a 182 with Turinis and a Ktec exhaust. There are people in this world that would spend more than that on a watch, so a car is perfectly plausible.
Personally I think it's a bit of a waste for a car to end up like that and I certainly wouldn't buy it, but in another way, I'm kind of glad that there's people out there who would.
