Just rung my local 'stealer' to get a quote for simply fitting 2 front springs, which I have so this is purely for labour...
The woman I spoke to said it will be £210 including VAT!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: :eek: To which I replied how long does it take, a week? lol! No she replied, about 3 hours...

hmmm....think i'l stick to my original plan of Sunday spent outside the house with car in bits! lol!

Thats cheap compared to Audi,our last service was £404. parts were £170,the rest was labour!£89 per hour labour and wait for it.....

lol, the £70 per hour i can deal with, but...3 hours to change springs for a trained mechanic!!?? Who they kidding? :dapprove:

You must include the time it takes for them to fit some worn out discs and pads and make your shock aborbers suddenly spring a leak. ;)

is that between tea breaks and two lucn breaks, shouldnt take anymore than an hour or so at the most to do all 4 springs never mind about 2 of them.

thats nowt, someone on meganesport.net asked for a quote for cup springs fitting on their full fat 225 and were quoted 2 grand!!!They said modifications were needed to the struts or something lol they are a direct fit of basically eibach springs, I'm paying about £300 all in for mine doing

i don't do servicing (unless its my car), purley a few cash in hand no questions jobs here and there, have to pay for beer afterall ;)
