lowred 182 - headlights are s**t

  Racing Blue 182
My 182 lights have always been quite poor as they dont shine far enough

Since getting it lowered, they only seem to light about 7 metres in front of me, dont light up anything further ahead

Its a full fat 182, how the hell do i make them shine further?

xenons are auto adjusting aren't they? But if not the dial may need turning 'up' to 0 position.

The dial on the right is an instrument binnacle dimmer. Xenons are self levelling. You can sdjust them manually behind the headlight too iirc....

i adjusted mine manually from behind the head light, after lowering and needed a big allen key. think mine are to high tho, going to get them checked when the car gets serviced.

you need to adjust the headlamp aim on the back of the headlamp unit as the other guys have said. Basically what happens when you lower a clio with xenons is the unit thats attached to the rear axle beam that is responsible for adjusting the level thinks you have a bootfull of junk and a couple of fat c*nts in the back and points the aim down to stop dazzling oncoming cars. obviously this isnt the case and the car is level not ass down nose up stance it thinks, hence you've got headlamps not casting a beam as far.

yes, took me two minutes at work with a headlamp aimer but you dont have access to one. Really you need to get it set up properly or you'll be dazzling every oncoming car you pass.

I'm not sure what you mean but the lights operate of the sensor on the back suspension beam thre setup so that when the backs wheels are lower then the lights adjust when you lower the car the sensor realises this and lowers the beam but since the front's lowered as well the system means you don't get much light.
The easy way to fix is as Loony said get the sensor adjuested so the car things its normal ride hight.
The other option is to get a Renault dealer to setup the lights up as the snsor can be adjusted using a Renault computer.
