Lumpy/rumbly brakes??

  Weeman sucks ****
Did 12 laps at the ring yesterday pretty hard, now my brakes are rumbling like mad and feel like they're made of stone, lol!

They bite well and at low speeds they feel smooth, anything over 30mph and they're awful! They're plenty of pressure in the pedal aswell.

Could I have warped the discs? Any suggestions as I'm not going to get to look at them until the weekend.

New brakes then or is there a way round it? Can I get away with just new discs or pads alone?

Great, I only fitted them 4 weeks ago.

  Turbos.
I seriously doubt they are warped, just pad deposits that are left on the disc. You could just get a harder pad.

If the brakes were getting soft at the 'ring then i'd change the fluid too.

Original calipers Chris?

Mine went at about 55k - the bushes that they're mounted on can wear so the whole caliper moves a little when you really call on them.

£75 exchange from Yozza/Fred IIRC.

They went like this when I went 2/3weeks ago but they then went back to normal after a couple of days normal driving back home.

I'll give it a week and see, plus she'll be in for an oil change and check over asap anyway.

Cheers guys

I had them checked on the last trip and they were fine.

See how they are in the week Chris.

Brakes never really went soft, they were excellent throughout, just started rumbling.

Just spoke to Tom (not PLC) and he said to rub the pad surface with some emery and then give that a try, failing that it's new discs and pads again:(

Fluid change soon aswell.
