MarkCup's BMW M140i

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
I assumed they were run flat. My mistake.
I 've been spoiled with an Elise for the last 5 years I guess.

Can't say I have tried it with the traction control off. Certainly goes very well.

Lol yah most cars are going to lose out against an Elise when you’re comparing driving feel. :)

Nice choice Mark, if you ever want a specialist to look after it Alexander Autos are the place to go, other side of the units I'm in.
Pop in and say hello if you use them, not seen you in years :)

Not to dis similar if you don't mind the subtle looks of the M140i
Bit embarrassing if your in the M2 off an island and the 140 is just sat on your bumper.

Excellent purchase mate. I bought an auto M140i shadow edition. Best car I’ve owned by a long way. Very very fast but understated and comfortable for day to day driving.

I thought you might go for one of these, you seemed to really like your friend's auto. I'm a manual man all day long normally but would be tempted by the auto. On a motorway cruise it yields a few more mpg and according to Jo Achilles the changes are quick enough to avoid the turbos losing too much spool during the changes. It's a full auto but a very good one, and would be good fun with the paddles, albeit perhaps not as engaging as with the stick.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on how good the getchange is (I've read it's a bit notchy), and whether you end up doing something with the suspension. For me I'd say suspension mods should be a priority over an LSD.

I'm looking forward to your future videos, keep it up!

Reading the youtube comments on your first M140i video was good entertainment while eating breakfast this morning, hilarious. Keep the videos coming at the same rate, great to watch.

I ran a 130i for four years, brilliant car and haven't left BMW since. You can flip a coin if you need them one year to next but (as you do a good number of miles) get a set of matching rims used, and a brand new set of winter tyres (I ran Michelin Pilot Alpin 4). Between saving your summer rubber and eventual resale they will cost you nothing and let you enjoy the car all conditions.

Just read through all the comments on the YouTube video
Some proper haters out there isn’t there.

Enjoy the car Mark. You’ve made the right decision getting this car.

Well once the cars on the move i guess you cant tell buy the wheels so that just leaves the colour of the wing mirrors and the extra tail pipe.

That's it mirrors and a extra exhaust even they are black so you need to be close to tell most are debadged and so are most 120ds
Not saying I dislike them , I don't and the sleeper look is good, just to some they don't look special enough.
Then again you could look at it another way you could be in that horrific looking new type R " look at me I am a HOT HATCH trying to hard! "

Yup - all the body panels are the same as a 114d M Sport. The only visual difference that isn’t a totally easy swap is the exhaust.

I love that though

Have you got a YouTube channel by any chance?

Markcup 70?

If so, I had no idea you were on CS. Purely by coincidence, I've been following your you tube channel to see what happened the the RS and what the new car was

Not a lot in it on the straights (as we all know) but a stock M140i wouldn’t know which way the M2 went on a twisty B road/ track.

Think they would struggle to keep with a lot of lower power cars on twisty roads in most conditions imo.
