Got some heaving Marred Headlights on my ph quick, worse than just hazy on the outside... extremely rough to the touch, just wondering what i can use on them, im assuming they will need to be buffed by machine/PC but what product would be the best to use?
regards
josh

not sure what you can use to smooth them, but in future polish them like you would the paint work. I use AutoGlym shampoo then SRP and EGP, makes the plastic almost disappear :)

I was thinking quite an intensive polish to get the scratches out. just worried it will leave flat spots etc..

I've got a new product in stock which is suitable for polishing plastic for use either by hand or machine. I've not yet tried it myself on plastic headlights - will speak to the manufacturers on Monday and find out if they recommend it for this purpose for you.

A fine abrasive polish show bring them back up. Does the roughness feel like contamination on the lense, or the plastic itself. If its contaminants, could clay the lenses then polish

Tried a little scratch X and seems to work well. The ph1 ive got at the moment isn't the tidiest in the world, just needs to be cleaned up for sale. Popping it over to the painters and he is going to go over it quick with a soft pad and the rotary with some fine compound.
cheers for the advice folks.

I have some scratches on the plastic cover that goes infront of the dials, will this wolfgang platik sort it out?

Has annoyed me for so long now.

The plastic dial cover is very soft so you need to be careful you don't induce as many marks as your removing, I had limited success with the S100 repairing some damage to a Pug fascia.

I have a few, but my attempts to get 100% rid seemed to induce some slightly finer ones. You can barely see them but they are there, decided to leave it there as it was barely unoiceable. As Rich says though this plastic seems to be VERY soft.
