Matching exhaust manifold, worth it?

I'm currently contemplating a bargain 182 manifold.
Now with all the talk about inlet manifold matching, how much of a gain would I see if I matched the exhaust manifold to the gasket?
Obvioulsy it wouldn't be anywhere near the gains seen on the inlet side but is it worth my effort/cash?

I'm clued up on what I have researched/already know from experience. In theory, this would be a worthwhile mod' 'somewhere' along the scale but where is the question?
The manifold will already be off as I have a 172 but plan on fitting a 182 manifold. While it is being fitted I thought the match may be worth while.
I have seen a Mark Fish car advertised as having this done but as I said I knew I wouldn't reap the same gains as the inlet side but thought it may be a nice cheap/easy addition.

When you say inside Fred, do you mean the internal bore of the pipework and not the mating face. And cleaning up is just that and not hardcore material removal?

where the pipes have been welded onto the flange, inside needs welding up and dressing, not 100% neccesary though

there is zero need to touch anything.

The new clios have ports which are 40% smaller than the older ports of which the manifold flanges are based on, so matching the ex ports is a wasted exercise.

And even on older large port heads, the flange is larger than the port area, and the pipe diamter even larger still. No point making something that is too big already, even bigger........thats far to american an exercise.

Cheers fellas. I'll scrap that idea then. I thought it sounded a little far fetched when I saw it on an advertised car.
