Not got any link as the dealer has taken it off the trader and his site.

03 plate, 28k, 1 owner from new, Flame red. Looks tidy enough though I didn't get chance to drive it as I rolled up late. Renault FSH. No apparent issues with mounts or exhaust/4k rattle. No stonechips or car park dents.

Bad bits from my point of view.
Messy/dirty under the bonnet. A couple of scratches on the bonnet but these will easily polish out. Looks a little too worn on the inside for 28k on gear knob, door grab s and wheel. Mine has done 37k and looks newer inside. Chassis code on the inside of the door didn't match that on the dash top. When you search the plate on RAC/Insurance databases it comes up with the Clio or an Astra (apparently because it is awaiting a plate change).

The car in general is tidy enough for its age but there are a couple of things I would have liked to clarify before purchase. During the time I did get to have a look, a deposit had been laid down. Was up for 6995, ended up paying £6885 plus got a tank of fuel.

I would have at leat HPI'd it first.

What do you guys reckon?

The RAC check was coming up with an Astra or a Clio as were insuracne companies databases. This is apparently because the plates are in the process of being swapped over from a chershied to a standard.
I didn't get chance to check the code on my dash top against the plate on the door frame until just now and mine matched up, these didn't on my friends from what I can remember.

I haven't a clue what it has Edde, by the time I had chance to look at the car it had been purchased. I don't think there is any warranty invloved.

The car was bought from K-W cars. Anyone had any experience?

Does seem a little dodgy, can't let the fact that it has FSH overlook other things as someone could of been slipped a tenner for the stamps. When I was reading, I read the bit about the interior being a bit more worn, just thought, could be a 'big' person, wears lots of jewlery, fidgety, picks/scratches at steering wheel, but when you get more than one odd thing, i.e VIN plates not matching, thats when I'd walk away and definately have a HPI done, I'd do it on any car I was going to buy tbh, for peace of mind.

But it's too late now, unless he wants to loose his deposit!

I'm sue you can legally get your deposite back anaywa you usually have a time period of a few miles in which you can return the car for a full reund.

Chassis numbers & log books not matching is a common occurance with renaults, i was told by Equifax.......CB1NOF bit can really get messy.

  Whichever has fuel
legally, the garage has no right to keep a deposit. By law, they HAVE to give it back to you.....

This post is a little confusing,
surely no one risk buying a car with different chasis numbers in different places???

I know you have more rights buying from a dealer... but still!!

  NONE
it would of been better if you had of checked that before you even put the deposit on the car. most dealers allow you to have a look around the car before any of that and then you would of been sure that it wasnt dodgy! unlucky to your mate and i would only pull out if it is a bit too dodgy and you are willing to lose that deposit he put on it. :dapprove:

The car isn't for me fellas, it's for his girlfriend predominantly. I was just there for a bit of advice but before I had chance to give any it was bought.
It will most proabably be fine but I personally would have liked to clarify a few points before handing over the cash.
Does the price sound ok?
