Wait is it just a dash mounted female socket or does it have a small black panel around it?

It looks about 50 shades darker! I'm a big fan though.

I think I've made up my mind that I'm going to buy a facelift 3.0 when I get rid of mine. I really like the car so it makes sense to go a little faster and newer/less miles.

Decided to get my arse in gear this morning, and gave the car a good wash, clay and polish. Came up really well actually, and there aren't as many stone chips on the front bumper as I had thought :)

Also confirmed the colour is indeed Monaco Blue, and the list of options...

The colour doesn't photo well at all, looks more black but its very blue in the metal.

I've said this before, the shape is timeless. I seen a red Coupe the other day in 3.0l guise and i was fairly impressed!

Looks great, The only thing I'd be tempted by is to fit a twin pipe at the back, Current offering is a bit pony.

Matthew that is a superb looking little car, the colour transforms the shape. Bit like Ali's Z4CM in Carbon Black, similar to Monaco.

The fact it's 2.0 makes it even cooler to me. It's sorta like the Zetec S step to ST.

Badges off the wings and a tasty exhaust system even a custom something to offer some top down noise. The interior like Rob's still looks modern. Has aged very very well.

Looks really nice that!

I'm aching to get another next year. I can recommend small spacers for the rear, i find the MVII alloys hide in the arches a bit. The small reflectors on the arches/wings also really annoyed me, they seem to spoil the lines at the front.

Mine, post spacers and reflector removal:

Thanks Gally, the colour really is superb (although its hard to photograph well).

The 2 litre "issue" hasn't bothered me once since I've had it. Infact, I find my self driving it faster and harder than I drove the GTI.

It's strange.
