Mature ReaultSport Drivers..

Car  Meg 250/E36 Touring
Just handed over a well specced 197 to a 73 yr old gent.

Really proper guy to deal with, telling me tales of driving the Nurburgring and Spa over the years..

Has had M3's, Alpinas and Porsches and fancied a hot hatch..

Was just wondering if anyone knows any older 'Sport' drivers?

I seem to recall one of the instructors' at Goodwood was in his 70's and owned a V6!

I saw a 65 plus guy driving a Red 197 the other day.

Well my Nan who is 70 has just traded her 05 Plate, Leon Cupra R in for a New Leon Cupra, and my Grandad is on his second new shape Leon with the FR.

TBH I thought I was going to buy her Cupra R off her, it had only done 9k.

They both have always been into cars with my Grandad having a few old Morgan's and Porsche's in his time.

Yep, makes it worth while now and again!

Hopefully he won't be a numpty with it like some other old drivers!

Sounds alright though.

On the way to collect my r27 some old woman(early60s to 70s) was givin me a bit of jip in her ph1 172, it was so funny. I then proceeded to chase her in my 182( give her credit she did nail it to 100lol!) then over took har and gave her the V! Me and the misses were in fits of laughter as we dont even no what she was so pissed off about!
Respect to the old bag tho.

lol my dad saw a 70 odd yr old couple in a black 182 the other day. the question is, do they know what theyre driving? to my grandparents, my 182 is just a clio

My dads nearly 65, has 9 motorbikes one of which is a his Yamaha TZR trackday **** :)

Has no interest in fast cars much, but does tell me often how be destroys Audis and BMW in his zafira diesel lol.

Theres a nice red dynamique by me, with antharicite wheels, recaro's and trophy written on the sills, anyone tell me what the old guy bought? ;)

don't know about older sport drivers but I've heard a few instances of ppl supposedly going from porsches and the like. Maybe it's just me but I think I can safely say that if I can afford the likes of Porsche one day, I don't think I'll be trading it in for an RS

That sounds fuckin funny!

When I went to the Ring the first time, there was a guy (must've been 70+) with a 500bhp Supra staying at the same place.

I don't care how nice the car is, people that old DONT have the reactions or wits to play with proper cars imo. Though he didn't pretend to so it's alright, I think he said that he was doing 9 minute laps or there abouts (pretty downright shocking for anything with 500bhp).

There's hope for my Dad then. He's 71, drives a Rover 75. He's keen on a 350 Z. Hope he really does buy one when it comes to it. Perhaps I'll get the keys to it one day.:) :) :)
