MBP Battery

Just this past week, i've noticed that my battery charge level is dropping down much quicker than usual.
It usually lasts me a good 8-9 hours of use. Recently, it has only been lasting about 4ish hours?!!

Do I need to do some form of disc cleanup or delete aload of crap off the HDD?
Is the battery ready for a service (or whatever needs doing)?

Any help will be muchos appreciated .

you probably need to calibrate your battery, made a big difference on my macbook pro, try going through this method http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/9036.html

depending on how old your laptop is you may need a new battery, most rechargeable batteries have a 1000 charge lifecycle and after this they start holding less and less of full 100% charge. hope this helps

Tried the above. Still seem to be getting a really s**t battery life.
