Megane R26 (black) need help keeping it protected!

Hi,

im looking for some help please people!
i have just started driving my new car (black megane r26) and absolutely love it! The colour when clean is amazing!
my problem is I currently work at a steel making site and get a lot of contamination and fallout on the car. All my previous cars required a good clean weekly as the rubbers started going a horrible brown/orange colour and you could see the paintwork was getting effected by this (dusty but a simple wash wouldn't bring back the shine or clean look it once had)

if someone could help and give me some knowledge that would be great!
products to use and also how to go about keeping on top of it!

Thanks,
Adam.

Hi Adam nice car you got your self there!

To start off I would recommend that you full clean and decontaminate your paint before you add any protection. Once decontaminated and clayed I would recommend a paint sealant over a wax as it will be that bit stronger against the fall out and last longer that a natural carnauba wax. Once you've sealed your paint work a quick weekly wash is all thats in order. This will help keep any contamination at bay and keep you black R26 looking its best!

If you need help with decontaminating your paint work I would recommend that you check our guides here: http://www.autofinesse.co.uk/portfolio/paintwork-decontamination/

For a sealant check out this link: http://shop.autofinesse.co.uk/products/waxes-and-sealants

Also for your rubbers trims I would say give them a good clean with a degreaser or all purpose cleaner and then add some life and colour back to them with a trim restorer such as Revive: http://shop.autofinesse.co.uk/revive-250ml

I hope this helps you out Adam, and any other questions fire away!

Joe
