I'm just curious but how come there are people doing a list here? I put my name down on the other one which has over 100 people on it. I can't see why this list is needed. Or is it for something different?

Product is not fit for purpose, which it obviously isn't. I would imagine that there must be some consumer law offering some protection.

And as stated previously, not sure why we have two lists going, just use the one which is stickied as that has far more names on....

its a breach of section 13 of the sales and supply of goods act, the product supplied must be of a suitable quality and durable

clearly it isn't but renault wont listen

I have exactly the same problem. My wheel looks like it's done 100k! It's not like I have sweaty palms or anything. I've got an 04 plate at 28k. Glad it's not just me. I feel an angry email to Renault coming on...

This is weird as i only have a 1.2 dynamique with 80,000 miles on the clock, but the steering wheel is fine, no damage or melting at all. Maybe a good batch?

Hey guys,

First post here on the forum, im in Australia!

Just about to buy an 02 RCS 172 with 67 thounsand kms on the clock, new tyres and full renault service history and i was worried about the wheel but this one is fine.

Maybe put a small beach towel over the wheel or one of those reflective steering wheel covers similar to one you put on the windscreen when its hot to prevent this?

Damn French!

it dont look like renault are to keen to help - the only way around this is to start some kind of grount protest at the local dealership or take it to the media - renault will have to act-

if we get into big groups and go to dealerships-they will have to do something
