Only started tonight, seems to be coming from the nsf wheel area. Checked for play in the drive shaft but its ok, to dark to take the wheels off :dapprove:
Wheel bearing? Discs and pads low? My discs had a huge lip on them and the pads were low, mine started making a grinding noise where the lip was eating away at the pads! Well I am guessing that was what caused the noise as Birchdown replaced them earlier today and it has fixed it
Not sure if its the brakes, it is intermittent and does it whether the brakes are being pressed or not. Also had new drilled/grooved discs fitted 6 months ago.
As for the boot , could be this but was to dark to see after the drive home from work.
Oh and forgot to say, it took 3 different tow trucks to finally get me to GDI. The AA came 1st and said "oohhhhh no mate thats way to low, cant get that on the trailer"
Next one turns up with a sliding flatbed " Sorry mate, that wont clear the lip of the flatbed"
3 hours after the initial call to the AA, i finally get the car to GDI.
