Michelin PE2 (exalto 2's) are no longer being made!!!!

I used to get my PE's from mytyres.co.uk for under £60 a pop, now there nearly £100, feck that

Unless the new tyres are around the price of (16") Toyo T1-R's, im not interested. £450 for a set of tyres is just stupid.

I can get hold of PS3's from various suppliers at work, they work out at 79 + vat, so similiar price to PE2's

the v12's are better than proxies and pzero neros, up there with pe2s

TOYO's are shocking in the wet. I had mine for a week.

I ordered some PE2's off the internet, mytyres.co.uk, and gave all my details, including credit card info etc. I was away in USA all last week so expected the tyres to be here once I got home, ready for fitting. Imagine my surprise when I got home to find they weren't here. I checked my junk mail box and found an email saying before they can send them out I have to transfer the money direct to a bank account number. I thought a reputable internet company would accept credit cards (paypal etc) but no, not these guys. Just be aware, if you buy something without using a credit card, you wont be covered if something goes wrong. After a few emails back and forth, I decided not to bother with them, and just went to local tyre place for my tyres instead. It's all well and good saving a few quid, but there is no way i'd buy over the internet without some form of security/insurance, ie credit card.
I realise others have gotten tyres from these guys, so they are most likely all above board, but having been burned too many times over internet purchases, that sort of transaction isn't for me i'm afraid.

Just off to get the PS3's fitted now.

Hated the TOYO's I had on. They were only good if you had them really hot. Wore very quick as well.

Got PE2's now though awesome tyre - I imagine their replacements are just as good o/

I'm more than happy with them, incredible in the torrential raid we had this weekend gone.... and they're around £50 each in 1*2 sizes!

Only just been pottering around the doors for a couple hours but the PS3's are quite impressive. I'll update once i've done a couple hundred miles. Toyo T1R's I had fitted to a car never gave me confidence, felt as if the sidewalls were too soft.
