Middle Silencer Help

Car  Atlantis Blue 1.2 Corsa B
just got peco backbox for the RT, fitted it, very quiet :(
want to take middle silencer out as cant be arsed with MOT hassle of decat..

whats easiest way to do it?

i was told that i would lose alot of power, is this true? cheers guys

shouldnt see why you'd lose any power. as long as you properly connect the new piece it should be about the same, albeit with a slightly reduced torque figure. this depends on your back box as well tho.

so ust some pipe roughly the same diameter.

clamp and s**t loads of zaust paste, or weld?

Matt matt mattty matty mat mat LOL

if anything yo'll gain power, i did it to an escort i had and because there was nothing restricting the gas flows through the exhaust it seemed like it took off a lot quicker! it didnt feel like it lost power

anways my clio that i have now has no middle silencer and that flys (well it feels like it does)

get it chopped out man!

oh and weld it, only use paste if you have any small holes to fill, however if your welders any good he shouldnt leave any holes in it

Better for air flow the get the whole centre section made as a new item, thats what i did from powerflow.

Defo get a de-cat its a 10 min job to swap it come MOT time, PM me for one for £35 delivered...new

^^lunner, does it replace the cat and centre silencer? whats involved come fitting / taking off time
